While the impact of these modifications remains to be assessed it is clear that they are the most robust measures any studio has ever taken to combat external abuse of its system for financial gain. If successful, similar measures could be seen in the MMO space in OSRS gold the future.
Jagex recently announced after 18 years as the PvP battlefield, Duel Arena will be going away from RuneScape and a new zone has been added. RuneScape is expected to launch Het's Oasis featuring a brand-new scenery, new techniques for gaining skills and two mini-quests you can try.
The game will begin today with Oasis Restoration, players will be tasked by the task of transforming the Duel Arena following a cataclysmic earthquake that destroyed the entire area. Players will need to work together to turn the ruins of the arena from "a bloody pit of fighting, where legends have long put their money into one-on-one matches, to a tranquil oasis."
Players will rebuild the area and take on daily tasks that earn them rewards dependent on their achievements. The participants in the community event will receive special event rewards that include a new Crocodile pet, a title, armored clothing with a desert theme, and Gators' footwear.
After the two weeks of community events the new area will be named Het's oasis is a place for learning and exploration with new skill-related information for those who want to boost their Agility, Farming and Hunter skills.
"Heroes will also assist to assist the God of Death in two Eye of Het mini-quests as they delve into Het's Tomb to find a powerful object that can help the young gods as part of the Elder God Wars saga," the press release reads.
In a fresh event that begins now and continues until December 3, 2022 players will be able have a new version of the classic "Partyhat" the accessory that was initially available at Christmas way back in 2001. The original version was available in red, green, yellow or purple the RuneScape's "The Golden Party Hat Hunt" quest allows players to obtain one of the most sought-after cosmetics that have a metallic sheen.
Since the party hats were initially only available in limited numbers for a limited time, but have since been removed, any player lucky enough to own one is able to sell the hats for billions of coins. Even though the hats are only decorative and do not offer bonus stats, they are one of the highest priced items on the Grand Exchange, hitting the highest price of 2.1billion gold in 2015.
To obtain - or heads in - a Golden Party Hat, players must meet "various goals" and collect eight golden shreds in return for their efforts. After the eight shards are obtained, they can be made into a Golden Party Hat.
However this isn't the only event limited in time, but only one golden hat is made per participant. Just like their predecessors from 2001 Jagex states of the golden hats that "after the cut-off time the golden hats will not be ever again available for purchase!"
It is unclear if the new item will disrupt the in-game economy and lowers the value of the existing party hats or transforms into a brand new even more premium item remains to be seen. Jagex will be celebrating this occasion with the same with a change to cheap OSRS gold the game's Grand Exchange location into "a Golden Party Hat winter wonderland".
